MOVING TO SCARBOROUGH HAD A BIG IMPACT ON US
Seeing all the beach trash made us really think about how much plastic ends up in our oceans.
WHAT WE'RE DOING IN STORE
AND WE'RE CONTINUING TO REDUCE PLASTIC FROM OUR PRODUCT RANGE IN OUR BID TO BECOME A SURFER'S AGAINST SEWAGE PLASTIC-FREE BUSINESS CHAMPION.
WHAT WE'RE DOING LOCALLY
We 're proud to support local and national organisations, who are just as passionate about reducing plastic waste as we are.
We attend organised beach cleans, and help advertise these causes on our social media, and in our Scarborough shop.
We regularly meet up with local plastic-free organisations like No More Trash, Plastic Free Scarborough, MCS, Surfers Against Sewage and other like-minded businesses to see how we can help their local campaigns.
We're also launching a "Borrow a Bucket" scheme for Scarborough South Bay.
In a bid to reduce the amount of buckets and spades left on our beaches in the peak tourist season, we're asking visitors to borrow a set of beach toys, instead of buying new ones which will, more often than not, end up thrown away at the end of the holiday.
MOLLY HAS BECOME AN ECO-FRIENDLY BEACH DOG
Molly's in training
MOLLY HAS ALWAYS LOVED A PLASTIC BOTTLE
So we thought we'd put that natural obsession to good use on our beach cleans and walks.
Molly now fetches discarded plastic bottles whenever we're out. She gets a huge reward for retrieving them, and gets to go find another once we've put it in the bin (where it belongs!).
She has also started to dig out ghost fishing nets and ropes and other bits of discarded plastic on the beach.
She's a good girl!

Plastic Free Skincare
The products in this section come in completely plastic-free packaging.
Some of the product labels (and adhesives) contain plastic - so please remove before re-using, recycling or composting. We're working on replacing all labels with eco-friendly alternatives.
